For funders

Evidence of fair hiring, without a new reporting burden.

Ask the charities you fund for a Hiring Receipt — a signed, independently verifiable record of how each role was filled.

Why ask grantees for a Receipt

Recruitment is often one of the least evidenced parts of a funded organisation's work. A grantee may be able to show who was hired, but not whether the role was open, criteria-led, timely, and documented. A Hiring Receipt gives funders a standard process record without asking charities to write another report.

What a Receipt evidences

  • The role was run against a recorded process
  • Applicants were counted
  • The scoring rubric was visible
  • Candidate response times were measured
  • Written outcomes were tracked
  • Salary information was recorded or visibly withheld
  • Demographic reporting was voluntary, aggregate, and suppressed below k-anonymity thresholds
  • Any opt-outs are visible
  • The record can be independently verified
